World’s First Mobile Coronavirus Testing Lab In Mumbai
Today when the entire world is trying to come out from the impacts of COVID-19 pandemic, the legendary automobile company Jawa Motorcycles has teamed-up with Pune based Krsnaa diagnostics, Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) and IIT Alumni council to test the increasing number of coronavirus patients in Mumbai city. With this Maharashtra becomes the first state in the world to receive the first mobile testing facility for coronavirus.

The bus was recently flagged off in Mumbai and will move in the different corners of the city and help in testing the suspected patients of coronavirus. Inside the bus, there is a facility for conducting on-board genetic testing, contactless RT-PCR swab collection, and AI-based teleradiology. According to the sources of the collaborators the bus will help in minimizing the cost of coronavirus up to 80% and is believed to boost the testing capacity by 100 times in the coming few days. At present 10-15 samples are collected during an hour and the bus is disinfected every time after the accomplishment of every sample.

It is believed that the use of this bus will be helpful in conducting the tests in the densely populated colonies where rapid testing of masses is required at an affordable price. It would be interesting to know that the bus has been developed in such a way that it will work smoothly even during the monsoon season. At present the bus is being used for conducting the tests of suspected Corona warriors from different departments including police, sanitation workers, health workers, and the people involved in the profession of delivering essential services.
