Wagon R CNG - Value for money
Pros : monthly running cost
Cons : CNG does not come in VXI
Purchased this car in Jan this year itself. Till now have run 4000+ kms in this car. Best Part in this car is, one, it gives unbelivable avg of 20+ on city roads with 100% ac and if driven properly on highways gives better than 26. Second is its exterior looks. It no more look like a dabba. With airodynamics added to its looks, and crome finish at the rear end of this car, car looks very lively. K series engine responds very good in city driving and hears very smooth on highways. SInce being a family car, i dont think any one would like to drive this one over 120 kmph. and this car is very stable even at 120 kmph. fantastic at 100 kmps when you are with family. On sharp terns you have to bring speed down due to tall and narrow structure. Sad part is interiors. It often makes unusual sounds and on bumps dashboard gives a bad noise (as compared to i10, swift). Overall a nice family car. My bike is lying in parking because Wagon's running cost is even better than my bike. with my calculations keeping in mind the price hikes trend of petrol for next 2 years, if I run this car for about 15,000 to 16,000 kms, i will be able to recover cost which i incurred due to CNG varient. A lone patrol car in today situation is waste if CNG pumps are availble. if you dont buy this than go for deseil model only. my i10, swift, figo, fabia petrol friends are crying and i could see thier car moving only on saturdays or sundays. Thats where i enjoy AC drive every day and dont have to worry for traffic as its light.

Indeed this car is fabulous, I bought this a month back with sports kit installed along with alloy wheel which makes my wagon r stand out in crowd. Most beautiful thing which I like about my car is its economy, I drove on mumbai pune express & got average of around 27 while in city driving i get around 21-22 with AC. As rightly said, this car is even more cost effective than bike because of rising petrol prices. So far in 1 month i drove about 1350 kms considering average of 22 per kg my running expense till now comes to about Rs.2,000/- If I had purchased petrol car than cost me around Rs.6500/- which shows that running cost is lower than one third of petrol....loving it totally
