Maruti Wagon R: A good hatch for family
Pros : Ample space, Better fuel economy, Good power
Cons : Poor suspension system, No attractive appearance
After taking a test drive for various entry level hatchbacks such as Hyundai Santro, Chevrolet Spark, Maruti Zen Estilo, Tata Indica, Maruti Alto etc. I bought Maruti Wagon R VXI at around 4.15 lakh in August 2011 at Indore (MP). And just getting it we went for a long tour of around 500km non-stop in 6hrs on NH 12. Along with four adults, a kid, 3 suitcases, a foldable baby cot, 50kg floor packet etc. and everything was inside because there is no careers at the roof.
On this long tour I noticed that is has great power, Ac is too powerful. During this long drive, I feel good with its Adjustable/Tilt Steering and power windows. Security system is too well. Meanwhile, rear window defogger is very helpful features in the vehicle. During running in digs suspensions were making noise. Whereas, it not appear eye-catchy but its power and performance is notable I say that it is a real good car or small utility vehicle for an average middle class family. Right now my Wagon VXI offers fuel economy of 12 kmpl in city and around 16 kmpl on highway.

ReplyMaruti Wagon R is so good looking for a small compact car with good features. The funny look and body colored outside mirrors with indicators give the car a very aggressive and impressive look.
