Polo, luxury and style meets together

Pros : Fuel efficiency, durable & tough exterior, luxurious interior

Cons : rear seat is more inclined compared to the front seats

On 14th February, 2011 I became one of the proud owners of Volkswagen Polo Diesel Highline and after successful one and a half year experience, I am writing this review for those who are planning to buy a Volkswagen Polo Diesel.

Friends if you buy a Volkswagen Polo, you are gonna buy a German luxury hatch at a nominal price. I am impressed with its 1.2 liter 3 cylinder engine that churns incredible power and torque. Furthermore, the fuel efficiency of this car is 15 kmpl in city conditions and 21 kmpl on highways. I have driven my Polo on the NH 8 and I would say that runs like anything and its stability is better than any other hatchback in India.

The exterior of Polo is tough and durable and is counted as one of the safety features of this car. The front of Polo looks similar to the sedan Vento and the rear is well designed and gives a premium touch to the car. What I like most about this car is its VW badge that makes this hatchback look more appealing. I feel that the company should introduce the new advanced models of Polo with features like sun-roof and AT transmission.

The only problem I find in this car is the inclined rear seat. Though the leg-room, head-room and shoulder space on the rear seat is sufficient but the seats could have been more flattened rather than being inclined.

Overall, Polo Diesel Highline is a good car and I would certainly recommend it to all those who want to buy a premium hatchback with stunning styling. It is better than Skoda Fabia in many aspects.
