15 New SUVs to be launched in India 2012
Currently, the Indian SUVs and MPVs segment accounts only 15 per cent stake in toto Indian passenger car market. But, within three year this figure is speculated to touch the mark of 25 per cent. Seeing this positive growth, car makers like Mahindra, Maruti, Ford, Force, Hyundai, Skoda, Nissan, and Renault are all set to bring their fully tested new SUVs in the country. All these auto makers had also displayed their new SUV/MPV car models at last month held Delhi Auto Expo 2012.
The country's largest passenger car maker, Maruti is ready to enter in to the Indian MPV car segment with the launch of Maruti Ertiga which was also displayed at the mega auto fair in New Delhi. It’s another big vehicle will be Maruti XA Alpha that will be the second new SUV car launch in India in year 2012.

Mahindra also confirmed to launch Ssangyong SUV car models in India that were displayed at the Auto Show. The company will offer Ssangyoung car models to Indian buyers with Mahindra badge which are Mahindra Rexton luxury SUV and premium SUV Mahindra Korando.

Tata Motors will add fire in the segment with the launch of its newly developed premium SUV Tata Safari Storme that is redesigned with premium features and next-gen looks over the outgoing Safari.

Ford India will also make foray in the entry level SUV car segment of the country with launch of revolutionary 1.0 Ecoboost petrol engine loaded Ford Ecosport. This global SUV made news last month when it was displayed before and at the Delhi Auto Expo. The other player in the market- Nissan Motors is going to launch the much awaited Nissan Evalia code named Nissan NV200 while the French auto major Renault will be launching the Renault Duster around Diwali as entry-level SUV.

Hyundai Hexa Space is to be launched in the country by Korean auto major Hyundai after getting overwhelming success from Hyundai Santa Fe luxury SUV. On the other hand, Premier Rio and Force One SUVs will also get their new siblings in year 2012.
