2012 Fiat Linea rolled out in Nepal
Fiat India proudly rolled out their new product range in Nepal. Fiat India introduced 2012 Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea in the Nepal car market. These two cars were launched in India at the 11th Auto Expo that was held in New Delhi, early this year. Both the cars are available in different engine options and in about nine variant.
The BBM or Batas Brother Motors, which is the only Fiat distributor in Nepal, is offering 2012 Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea with numerous new features, which comprise of rain sensing wipers, better ground clearance and auto switch on/off headlamps. The 2012 Fiat Linea in Nepal has 1.3L and 1.4L engine options, 2012 Punto has 1.2L and 1.3L engine options. The cars have the similar features, like anti lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution system, air conditioning, incorporated audio system, leather seats, airbags and alloy wheels. Fiat Punto and Fiat Linea are available in three variants, Active, Dynamic and Emotion with both diesel and petrol engine options.

Talking about the price, 2012 Fiat Punto price lands around Rs. 23 to 30 lakh Nepali Rupees, this comes out to be Rs. 14 to 18 Lakh Indian rupees. On the other hand, the 2012 Fiat Linea sedan in Nepal will cost you around Rs. 31 to 40 Lakh Nepali Rupees, coming out to Rs. 19 to 24 lakh Indian rupees. The price tags of these cars are way to too high; this is all because of high duty configuration on imported goods.

Fiat is aiming to sell about 300 units of 2012 Fiat Linea and Punto in this financial year. Company is hoping that its new features like good ground clearance, better interiors and safety features would make them a good seller in the Nepal car market.
