2016 Toyota Fortuner Might Launch This Year
Grapevine is that after the decision of Supreme Court lifting the ban on registration of diesel vehicles in Delhi and NCR region, Japanese car maker Toyota is planning to launch the refreshed version of its premium SUV Fortuner in Indian car market sometimes by the end of this year. Prior to this company had hold the production of its portfolio as an impact of Supreme Court’s earlier decision. But, now with fresh decision company has decided to work with new strategy for its upcoming products.
According to reports to give shape to its new production strategy company has commenced the driving tests for Fortuner in recent times and if, latest reports are true it is planning to launch the overall new Fortuner in country by this year end. The new Toyota Fortuner is already on sale in few of the international markets where it is offered with two engine options of 2.4 litre GD and 2.8 litre GD in diesel variant. The former develops the power of 148 bhp and torque of 400 Nm, while the later generates the power of 175 bhp and torque of 450 Nm. Interestingly both the trims are offered with option of six speed manual and automatic gearbox.
The new Toyota Fortuner has length of 4,795 mm, width of 1,855 mm, height of 1,835 mm and wheelbase of 2,750 mm. Recently the prototype of 2016 Toyota Fortuner was rendered during GIIAS 2016 where it succeeded in grabbing the attention of all segments. The major features of attractions expected to be offered in the proposed version are tilt and telescoping steering wheel with steering mounted control, Multi-information display, three driving modes including Eco, Normal and Power, reverse camera, 17 inch alloy wheels etc.
