2347 units of Santa Fe recalled by Hyundai Motors India Ltd
Hyundai Motors India Limited the second largest car manufacturing company of country and Indian arm of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has recalled 2347 units of Santa Fe due to issue arising in its brake lamp switch which might create problem. According to sources of company it has called out units of Santa Fe sold between 2011 and 2013 and will be replaced by the dealers without charging any additional cost from the buyers. In Indian car market the SUV has been brought through Completely Knocked Down (CKD) route and constitute a specific segment of buyers in Indian car market.

It is reported that the main reason behind the default in brake lamp switch is not the manufacturer’s fault as some of the parts are outsourced and therefore the outsourcing company should be held responsible for supply the defected parts to the manufacturer. Although such recall of vehicles spoils the brand image but admitting the mistake and rectifying it free of cost is helpful in retaining the trust of company on its customers.
As reported earlier the South Korean car maker had recently launched the generation next Santa Fe during the Indian auto expo 2014. Now it would be interested to see that whether this recall impacts the sales of new Santa Fe or not, although the new Santa Fe is equipped with various remarkable and awesome features. According to sources of company till now it not received any complaint regarding any accident taking place due to defective part.
