3072 units of Fiesta diesel re-called by Ford
Ford India, the Indian arm of U.S. based car maker Ford has recalled 3,072 units of diesel trim of sedan Fiesta from Indian car market as due to integration of faulty glow plug control panel. The diesel units Ford Fiesta units recalled were manufactured between October 2010 and December 2011. Ford India has asked it dealers to contact the owners of these units and get the issue rectified by installing waterproof Glow Plug Control Module of new design.

According to sources of company although there has been any report regarding any injuries or an accident but the vehicles have been recalled as protective step to avoid any kind of uncertain activity taking place as an impact of this issue. The new plug would be installed free of cost by taking vehicle to nearest Ford dealer. It would be important to mention that it is not for the first time that car maker has recalled any vehicle for Glow Plug Control Module. As prior to this also earlier in July 2013 car maker had recalled diesel variants of EcoSport followed by 1.66 lakh units of Figo and Ford Fiesta Classic during the same period.
One thing which needs to be specially mention here is that these 3072 units of Fiesta have been recalled from its old version. The latest version of Fiesta 2014 made its entry in Indian car market this year in month of June after being showcased at Indian Auto Expo 2014 held earlier this year.
