After metros, JLR scheduled to open its showroom in Pune

The second largest metropolis in the state of Maharashtra after Mumbai; Pune, will feature the official dealership of a supreme car brand, Jaguar Land Rover or JLR by last month of the fourth quarter i.e. December. Prior to this the British automotive company owned by Tata Motors of India inaugurated their first Indian showroom in June 2009, the showrooms are now entirely operational and fully equipped with the best of available sales and service facilities in Mumbai, Delhi, Hyderabad and Kolkata. The outlet positioned close to the German luxury car maker BMW, and other car showrooms in the heart of the city. The retail area space is huge enough to display 12 cars of both make, Jaguar and Land Rover.

Managing Director of Asset Group Mr. Parvinder Singh Vijan who has acquired this dealership refused to state since he is not the official person to speak about the JLR brands. The Mumbai-based Asset Group already owns the dealerships of other cars in the Mumbai-Pune region.

At the opening ceremony of its new assembly plant based in Chikli Pune, Jaguar Land Rover also declared that the UK based marquee will ensure its presence in the 12 major metropolitan cities across the country by the end of the third quarter this year. Dealerships by the end of 2011 in cities like Chennai, Kochi, Ludhiana, Ahmadabad, Jaipur, Bengaluru and Indore are a part of extension plan in India. The initial level price of a Jaguar or Land Rover is approximately INR 55, 00,000-60, 00,000 which brings it inside reach of a larger market and is a substitute to the German auto giants Mercedes E Class or the BMW 5 Series sedan, said one of the local buyer of these quality brands.

Maharashtra region has always been an eye-catching market for high end cars and this upcoming dealership in Pune will surely boost the sales volume. Politicians are seen as prospective buyers especially of SUVs, apart from industry and agriculture.
