Anand Mahindra Extends His Gratitude To PM Modi
Recently honourable Prime Minister Narendra Modi conducted three roadshows in Gujarat before the Gujarat Legislative Assembly Elections 2022. With these roadshows, the Bharatiya Janta Party also commemorated its victory in legislative assembly elections concluded a few weeks back in five states. During the roadshows PM Modi was seen moving in the open-top variant of Made-in-India, generation next Mahindra Thar SUV. This grabbed the attention of Anand Mahindra, Chairman, Mahindra Group, and to express his gratitude to the Prime Minister, he posted a message on social media, thanking him for using the Made-In-India vehicle to celebrate the parade of the victory.
In his tweet that was initially in Hindi, Mr Mahindra thanked Prime Minister Modi by saying, "Thank you PM @narendramodi ji There is nothing better than a vehicle made in India for the victory parade!"
Speaking about Mahindra Thar, it is available in both a fixed hard-top version and a convertible soft-top version. The unit of Thar used by PM Modi during the roadshow seems to be the soft-top version. It is however not known, whether it is an adventure-oriented AX version or the lifestyle-oriented LX variant.
Mechanically, the Thar receives power from a 2.0-litre mStallion petrol and a 2.2-litre mHawk diesel engine. The transmission duties in both variants are available with an option of a six-speed manual gearbox and a six-speed automatic transmission system. All the trims both variants are available with a 4x4 driving feature as standard.
