Audi TT ready to launch in India this month
The Germany based leading luxury car maker Audi, which is a fully owned unit of Volkswagen AG, is gearing-up to launch its much awaited 2012 Audi TT coupe in the Indian market very soon. As per the industry sources, the company has finalized the re-launch of this second generation Audi TT coupe, and slated it to launch within this month.
The heart of 2012 Audi TT is powered by a 2.0 TFSI engine which is capable of outpouring a peak power output of 211 BHP. Mated with an optional 6 speed S tronic gearbox with Quattro all-wheel drive, the car delivers a superior performance on the road. Carrying a top speed of 245 Km per hour, the new Audi TT coupe takes just 6.1 seconds to break the speed barrier of 60 km per hour. The upgraded dimensions of the second generation Audi TT are as follows – Length - 4187mm; Height – 1352 mm; and Width – 1842 mm.

According to Mr. Michael Perschke, head, Audi India, the company is looking forward to roll-out new Audi TT at a very attractive price. Aiming to become the largest selling luxury car brand in the Indian market, Audi India is relentlessly expanding its product line. The launch of new generation Audi TT, one of the most appreciated luxury coupe which had won the ‘World Design Car of the Year 2007’ award, will be carrying improvements in terms of both design and technologies.

To offer a variety of options to the customers, the company will be launching the new Audi TT in 2 trim options, and also two S line packages. The car is expected to be carrying a price tag of Rs. 55 lakhs in the Indian market (ex-showroom price).

Meanwhile, besides Audi TT Coupe, the company has also sped-up the final process of the launch of its other major upcoming portfolio vehicles including compact SUV Audi Q3 that will be launched in the month of June in competition with BMW X1, Audi A3 Saloon that is expected in the second half of this year and high end luxury SUV Audi Q7 V12 (500bhp) by the end of this year.
