New Audi TT launched at Rs 48.36 lakh, sales start from June
The craze for sports cars in India has got a new dose of adrenaline today with the new Audi TT launch. This is the Audi TT year 2011 model that is being launched by the German car maker. Earlier it was priced around Rs 46 lakh but it has tagged the Audi TT at Rs 48.36 lakh. Notably, Audi took almost an year to decide and launch the new Audi TT in India as the car got its facelift version in 2011. Reason behind this could be the limited number of car buyers of two seater roadsters like the new Audi TT.

The coupe will be available for sale from June 2012 and come as CBU unit in India. As per the new Audi TT specifications, the new Audi sports coupe is 2 cm longer than the outgoing model and has no LED lights on it that were present on the earlier model. The LED lights are now part of the headlamp assembly. The bumper at the front has also received a makeover and has now much more up market styling.

A 2.0L diesel TDi 170 bhp with 300 Nm torque engine option will also be there on Audi making it the only sports car to have a diesel engine under the hood. So those who want to take the pleasure of driving too fast without worrying about the fuel tank can have the TDi engine powered new Audi TT in their collection. All the models are available with six speed manual or a six speed DSG automatic transmission. A Quattro is there on the high end models. Currently, Audi TT sports car is imported in India as Completely Built Unit.

Audi TT is offered as Roadster and RS models as well. With the new Audi TT, Audi’s product line up remains at ten cars and it is expected that the German car maker will soon be adding Audi Q3 to its India stable presenting an entry level SUV in its segment.
