Automatic Tata Hexa Lures the Buyers

Launched on January 18, 2017, Tata Hexa the SUV by domestic car maker Tata Motors has succeeded in receiving a tremendous response from Indian buyers, especially its automatic variant has recorded huge demand. According to reports the SUV has received more than 3000 bookings in just two days after its launch out of which 60% of buyers have opted for variants with automatic transmission system. Offered with starting price of Rs. 11.99 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi), the Hexa SUU has the waiting period for two months. Now as the SUV is launched in Indian car market it is speculated to present tough competition to XUV500 from its native contender Mahindra & Mahindra which sells around 3500 units monthly in Indian car market.
 
Under the hood Hexa is empowered with 2.2 litre 4-cylinder VARICOR diesel engine that churns the power of 153 bhp and torque of 400Nm. The transmission duties are performed with option of five speed manual, six speed manual and six speed automatic transmission system. The top end variant is offered with 4x4 diving option and enriched with feature of Torque on Demand. The notable features integrated in this SUV include four driving modes namely, auto, comfort, dynamic and rough road, ambient lighting with option of eight colors, dual front airbags, corner stability control, engine drag torque control, and ABS+EBD.
 
It is speculated that the launch of Hexa will further boost the sales of domestic car maker Tata Motors which has got momentum with the launch of Tiago. With encouraging start of 2017, domestic car maker also has Tiago AMT, sub-compact SUV Nexon and sedan codenamed as Kite 5 in the pipeline for launch during this year. Along with all these vehicles the company is also working on bringing the generation next Safari Storme sometimes during the next year.
