BMW 5 Series launched with facelift

BMW, the German luxurious car manufacturer has launched the all new BMW 5 series in Indian auto market with starting price of Rs. 46.90 lakh (ex-showroom price in Delhi). It is for the sixth time that BMW has facelift BMW 5 Series after its launch. It would be important to mention that company has not introduced any changes in petrol variants of existing 5 Series and facelift has been introduced only in diesel variant which are now codenamed as BMW 5 Series 520d. 
 
The variants of 520d are energized with 2.0 litre four cylinder diesel engine and is expected to develop the power of 184 bhp and torque of 380 Nm. The BMW 5 Series 525d variant is powered with 2.0 litre engine developing the power of 217 bhp and torque of 450 Nm. The higher version of diesel variant is named as M sport variant and is powered by straight six engine pumps developing the power of 258 bhp and torque of 560 Nm. All variants are mounted with eight speed ZF gearbox that transits power to rear wheels.
 
BMW had unveiled the facelift version of BMW 5 Series during the beginning of this year. The major changes introduced in exteriors and interiors include kidney grille followed by newly designed headlamp console and front bumper supported by few changes at rear bumper, integration of alloy wheels, tail lights and exhaust pipes.
