BMW to launch refreshed Mini Cooper soon in Indian car market
German luxurious car maker BMW has announced that it will soon launch the refreshed version of its Mini Cooper in Indian car market and for that it is soon going to start the assembling of its parts at its production plant located at Chennai. According to company sources of company with this launch company wishes to offer new driving experience to car enthusiast in Indian car market and will increase the competition in niche of luxurious cars. In the words of Mr. Philipp von Sahr, President of Indian Operations at BMW said that company is speculating to introduce the completely refreshed version of Mini Cooper in Indian car market. He further added that company succeeded in selling out 300 units of Mini Cooper last year and expects to increase this number during second year of its existence.
The new Mini Cooper hatch will be powered with three cylinder petrol engine which will develop the power of 134 bhp, whereas Mini Cooper S will be energized with 2.0 litre 4 cylinder engine that will develop the power of 189 bhp whereas the diesel variant will be energized with 1.5 litre 3 cylinder engine developing the power of 114 bhp. It would be interested to know that both petrol and diesel variant will now be integrated with manual and automatic transmission system with start/stop features.
Talking about the looks of new Mini Cooper it is reported that it will be little bit larger than the existing model of Cooper in Indian market and will be fuel efficient. Other features that have been integrated in new Mini Cooper include LED headlamps for both dipped and beam lights, the rear bench seat can now split into ratio of 60:40. Apart from this it also carries various enhanced features for instance high defined infotainment system, navigation system, and many more.
