Mini Cooper 2014 launch confirmed by end of this year
German luxurious car maker BMW has confirmed that after launching 7 Series Active Hybrid and i8 Supercar its next launch would be generation next Mini Cooper in Indian car market. The car maker had unveiled the Mini developed on company’s new front wheel drive platform known as UKL at Cowley plant in Oxford, UK last year. According to sources of company the new Mini Cooper will be miles ahead from its erstwhile version in every aspect.

For Indian car market it is expected that German car maker might offer Mini in two variants Cooper and Cooper S variant. The Cooper variant will be equipped with 134 bhp 1.5 litre engine while the Cooper S would be energized with 189 bhp 2.0 litre petrol engine. Both the engines will be coated with six speed automatic gearbox which will forward the power to front wheels. An interesting feature offered in the new avatar of Mini is that it would be offered with Variable Dumper Control which facilitates the driver adjust the suspension according to his requirement.
As far as looks of new Mini are concerned it could be said that the car carries the perfect match of traditional and modern looks. Where at one side it continues its conventional hexagonal grille and circular headlights on other side it enables the buyers to personalize the exteriors and interiors of their car according to their requirements. As the car would be brought in Indian car market through CBU route it is expected to be offered with price tag of Rs. 35 lakh.
