BMW X1 US launch soon
The smallest of the BMW X series SUV, BMW X1 is finally launching this year end at a price of $31,545 (Rs 16 lakh) in US. It is now almost three years when the smallest of the X series SUV was showcased at the Paris Motor Show. Later in 2009 it was unveiled in Europe a year later in 2009. India already has the car available at a starting price of Rs 26.88 lakh and is available in both petrol and diesel options.

The BMW X1 is currently manufactured at its homeland and is exported to India, Mexico, Russia and largest car market China where this BMW SUV is assembled. The German car maker will be launching BMW X1 in US in petrol only version and as per the official press release by BMW three models will be launched there. These are BMW sDrive28i, xDrive28i and xDrive35i. Out of these three the last one is the most powerful model that outputs 300 bhp.

US will be a new destination for BMW X1 and all the eyes of the world will be on it and everybody will be curious about its performance and acceptance there. Besides this the people of US are eagerly waiting for the offering which will be a close rival of Audi Q3 and Audi Q5 as customers will be getting the entry level offering from BMW. Besides people have high expectations out of BMW X1 and is expected to perform on the same lines as BMW X3 and BMW X5 did.

In India, BMW X1 has been exceptionally well accepted. Its price compared to the Audi Q3 and Audi Q5 in India is less and thus it becomes the first choice of people who want to go for an SUV in this segment. However, Audi is also developing Audi Q1 which is expected to be launched soon.
