BS-VI Compliant Mahindra Marazzo Launched, Priced Rs. 11.25 Lakh

Domestic carmaker Mahindra & Mahindra has launched the BS-6 compliant version of its Marazzo MPV in the Indian car market without any highly promoted launch event. The new BS6 Mahindra Marazzo is equipped with a 1.5-liter, 4-cylinder turbocharged diesel engine generating the power of 121 bhp and a torque of 300Nm, at 3,500 rpm and between 1,750-2,500 rpm respectively. With the launch of the BS6 compliant version of Marazzo, the carmaker has discontinued top-end M8 trim of from the existing trims.
 
Speaking about the new BS6 Marazzo, it is offered in three trims namely M2, M4+, and M6+. All these three trims are priced Rs. 11.25 lakh, Rs. 12.37 lakh, and Rs. 13.51 lakh, respectively. These are ex-showroom prices. It is embellished with additional features like lumbar support on seats for the front seat passengers, follow-me-headlamps, front and rear fog lamps, automatic air conditioner, height-adjustable driver’s seat. Moving ahead as the company has discontinued the M8 trim from its line-up, the new Marazzo has received some of its features like a cooled glovebox, electronically foldable wing mirrors, cruise control, and leather upholstery.
 
Mahindra Marazzo Front Low View
 
The MPV is equipped with features like lumbar support for the driver and co-driver seats, height-adjustable driver’s seat, automatic AC, follow-me-home headlamps, and front and rear fog lamps. It is equipped with a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system with GPS navigation and rear parking camera. As the top-end M8 variant has been removed, the BS6 Marazzo lacks some of the high-end features. The M8 variant was equipped with leather upholstery for seats, cooled glove box, cruise control, and electrically foldable wing mirrors.
 
It is reported that the home-grown carmaker is also working on launching the BS6 compliant petrol version of the MPV soon in India. It is believed that the petrol version of Marazzo will be equipped with a 1.5-liter turbocharged petrol engine that was exhibited during the Indian Auto Expo 2020 concluded earlier this year. The engine will boost the power of 163 bhp and the torque of 280Nm.
