Mahindra & Mahindra To Upgrade Marazzo With 163 bhp Engine

Mahindra Marazzo the MPV by homegrown carmaker that was launched back in 2018 is going to receive an upgrade in the form of BS-VI compliant engine. Not only this according to recent reports the company is also going to launch the petrol variant of the MPV this year during May 2020. It is believed that with both the engine upgraded according to the new emission norms the MPV will succeed in grabbing the attention of more audiences.

The new petrol engine is reported to be empowered with a 1.5-liter turbocharged engine from the new mStallion engine family exhibited by the company during the recently concluded Auto Expo 2020. The new engine comes equipped with integrated exhaust manifolds, dual-mass flywheels, off-set crankshafts, and 250 bar fuel injection rail systems. It is reported to generate the power of 163 bhp and the torque of 280Nm. The same engine is reported to be offered in upcoming vehicles manufactured by the Mahindra & Mahindra and by Ford Motors. After Marazzo, the next vehicle to be upgraded with the same engine configuration will be XUV300. It is believed that the company will launch the upgraded XUV300 sometimes during April 2020. The transmission duties will include a six-speed manual and six-speed automatic transmission system.
 
According to industry experts, although the introduction of the petrol variant in Marazzo will help in impressing the buyers, how the domestic carmaker combat with the sales will be an interesting question to see. It is expected to be launched in the price range falling between Rs. 7.59 lakh and Rs. 11.21 lakh.
