BS-VI Compliant Nissan Kicks Launched In India
Japanese carmaker Nissan has launched the upgraded version of compact SUV Kicks empowered with BS-VI compliant engine in the Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 9.50 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The top-end variant with a CVT transmission system has been priced Rs. 14.15 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi). The BS6 engine has been offered in all the variants with two engine options of 1.5-liter petrol and a 1.3-liter turbo petrol engine. The 1.5-liter diesel engine has been discontinued from the Kicks line-up.

The BS6 compliant 1.3-liter turbocharged petrol engine boosts the power of 154 bhp and the torque of 254 Nm and mated with a manual and CVT automatic transmission system. Whereas, the 1.5-liter naturally aspirated petrol engine generates the power of 105 bhp and the torque of 142 Nm and mated with a five-speed manual transmission system. The new Kicks will go against the likes of Kia Seltos, MG Hector, and Hyundai Creta, which are almost Rs. 5,000 costlier.
Speaking about the features offered in 2020 Kicks include projector LED headlamps, touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, alloy wheels, electronic stability control system, cruise control, hill start assist system, and vehicle stability management system. It will be offered with a 2 years/50,000 km warranty and free roadside assistant for two years. Along with this, the company is also offering a prepaid maintenance service package starting at Rs. 2099 annually.
