Chevrolet Cruze 2016 launched with starting price of Rs. 14.68 lakh (ex-showroom price)
General Motors India has launched the upgraded version of luxurious sedan adorned with some remarkable features in Indian car market with starting price of Rs. 14.68 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi) for base variant followed by Rs. 17.81 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi) for its top end variant. On the exteriors the generation next Cruze embellishes new LED DRLs, chrome garnished horizontal plates along with new projector fog lamps at front fascia. Inside the cabin it is enriched with few contemporary features comprising of rear view camera and MyLink infotainment system. Integration of MyLink infotainment system gets 7 inch touchscreen supporting connectivity internet radio, Bluetooth, phone telephony and few more.
Under bonnet this luxurious bonnet is empowered with 2.0 litre VCDi engine boosting the power of 164 bhp and torque of 380Nm. Engine is mated with six speed manual gear and six speed automatic gear transmission system. The manual transmission system is reported to deliver fuel efficient performance of 17.9 kmpl while the automatic transmission will result in delivering an average of 14.81 kmpl. As far as safety measures the new Cruze has been offered with bunch of safety features comprising of dual air bags, ABS, PEPS, two side air bags, anti theft alarm, central locking system and ignition.
Addressing the launch of new Cruze Mr. Kaher Kazem, President and Managing Director, General Motors said, “The Chevrolet Cruze 2016 redefines the premium executive sedan with striking new styling and added features along with the most powerful diesel engine in its segment. Since its launch, Cruze continues to be one of the largest-selling Chevrolet nameplates selling over 3.5 million units globally”. Moving ahead he also added “The refreshing style and design structure of the new Cruze leaves a lasting impression with its bold and dynamic form, aggressive stance and connectivity that adds enhanced convenience for our customers,”.
