Chevrolet Sail UVA launch tomorrow, test drive bookings mount unprecedentedly
The Chevrolet Sail UVA hatchback is all set to surprise India tomorrow. It is believed that 2nd November will be written in the history of Chevrolet cars in India in golden words as the experts have termed this car to be the success and volume puller. The reason behind this proposition is that the car offers mileage, space and more than hatchback looks. Thus the car buyer gets more than what he pays for. Meanwhile, the release of some official images of the car prior to the Sail UVA launch tomorrow have also increased the anticipation for the car and sources said that the Chevrolet is getting huge entries for test drive bookings. Some of the car buyers have already made up their mind to buy this car. The Sail UVA price is expected to be around Rs 4.5 lakh and the launch is expected to bring with it at least 1000 bookings in a single day.

To be offered in petrol and diesel, the Chevrolet Sail diesel is expected to outnumber the petrol model in terms of sales. Once in tomorrow, the Sail UVA will pose a tough competition to Maruti Swift, Toyota Etios Liva, Hyundai i20 and Ford Figo besides other small cars. It is believed that the new hatchback by Chevrolet will have no problem in settling in the segment as people have heard, tested and known about Chevrolet and its cars. Almost everybody has seen Chevrolet Tavera, Chevrolet Beat and Chevrolet Spark somewhere around them. Almost everybody has heard about the exceptional mileage delivery by the Chevrolet Beat Diesel. Thus all this is going to settle the Sail UVA in the segment very fast.

The petrol model will have a 1.2 L engine while the diesel will be Fiat sourced 1.3L multijet engine that also powers the Swift, Tata Indica eV2 and the Fiat Punto. Sail petrol will have a mileage of 18.2 kmpl while the diesel model will deliver a mileage of 22.1 kmpl. Thus, in addition to the looks, mileage, the Sail car will also offer much space inside; a room for the family of five.

The product is well and the company could got receive over 1K bookings if the bookings were started in past. Expectations are that GM will introduce this new big hatch under Rs. 4.50 lakh.....On power, performance and space bases it seems a younger sibling of Beat.
