Datsun Go+ to be launched before the festive season
Datsun Go Plus the upcoming MPV from Datsun, the subsidiary of Japanese auto giant Nissan Motors came into limelight during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 where it was showcased along with its other sibling Datusn Go hatchback. The company has launched the MPV in Indonesian car market and now it is making preparations for launching it in the Indian car market where it is expected to be offered in both petrol and diesel variants with petrol variant be equipped with 1.2 litre petrol engine the same which is offered in Go hatchback whereas the diesel variant is expected to be empowered with 1.5 litre diesel engine the same as adorned in Nissan Micra. The Japanese car maker is conducting regular test drives of MPV on Indian roads.
It is now reported that company is speculating to launch the MPV in Indian car market before the festival of Diwali which is considered as the best time of launching new vehicles by almost every vehicle manufacturer. This means that Indian buyers will be able enjoy the drive of Go Plus quite early before the arrival of festive season. The MPV is expected to be priced around Rs. 4,20,000, thus making it compatible to compete with other MPVs existing in the same segment, especially the Ertiga from Maruti Suzuki India Limited and upcoming Honda Mobilio from Honda Motors. The MPV is designed with spacious cabin with three row seating facility offering comfort seating experience to seven passengers easily.
Industry experts believe that with rumors of Honda Mobilio launching in the month of July, Japanese car maker do not wishes to make any delay in exploring the presence of its MPV and the craze of customers towards the brand name which has received over whelming response in Indian car market as an impact of its entry level vehicle Go hatchback.
