Datsun Go+ would be launched only in petrol trim
The first MPV Datsun Go Plus from Datsun, the subsidiary of Japanese car maker Nissan Motors is ready to make its debut in Indian market sometimes during the festive season. Prior to this launch the Japanese car maker had successfully launched its entry hatchback Datsun Go in Indian car market during the Indian Auto Expo 2014. The success of Datsun Go has raised the expectation of company and prospective buyers of Go Plus to huge extent. The MPV was also showcased during the Indian Auto Expo 2014 and is successfully running in Indonesian car market.

It is now reported that alike Go hatchback the Go Plus MPV would be also launched in petrol version and not in diesel variant. If this report turns to be true than it would be difficult for the MPV to enjoy success in segment which is already dominated by Ertiga from MSIL and is expected to get tougher by upcoming MPV Honda Mobilio from another Japanese car maker. It would be interested to know that Ertiga from MSIL is offered in both petrol and diesel variants and Mobilio from Honda Motors is also reported to be launched in both trims.
The MPV would be empowered with 1198cc, in-line 3 engines, producing the power of 68 horsepower and torque of 104 NM. Its engine would be coated with five speed manual gearbox. In Indonesian car market it is being offered in five trims namely A, Option A, D, T and Option T. It would be interesting to see that in how many variants Go Plus MPV is launched in Indian car market.
