Facelift Hyundai Xcent Caught Undergoing Test Drives
Hyundai Motors India Limited, the Indian alliance of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors is all set to launch the facelift version of its hatchback Grand i10 soon during this month in Indian car market. With this the car maker is also set to launch the facelift version of its compact sedan Xcent in Indian car market during the second half of this year. Recently the prototype of the same was witnessed being tested on Chennai roads under tight covers.

According to reports the facelift Xcent will sport new 1.2 litre three-cylinder diesel engine replacing the ongoing 1.1 litre three-cylinder diesel engine. The same diesel engine configuration is also reported to be offered in the facelift version of Grand i10 diesel variant. The petrol variant will continued to be offered with existing 1.2 litre four cylinder petrol engine.

Talking about the changes that would be introduced in the new Xcent, the spies did not succeed in noticing the changes that would be introduced in the facelift but still they could see the change in taillight pattern which seems to bestow the enlarged size than compared to existing version of Xcent. It is speculated that to make the Xcent 2017 look different from its existing version it will outsource some of its features from facelift Grand i10 in form of enlarged hexagonal front grille along with boomerang shaped fog lamps with DRLs. Inside the cabin it is reported to carry no changes, but might receive an updated infotainment system. After launch the facelift Xcent will compete against its strong contender Maruti Suzuki Swift Dzire, which is reported to receive vast changes and scheduled for launch sometimes during the same time when Xcent 2017 will make its debut.
