Hyundai Launches Xcent Prime CNG
Hyundai Motors India Limited (HMIL) the Indian alliance of Korean car maker Hyundai Motors has launched new variant Prime in its best selling compact sedan Xcent to explore its presence in taxi segment. The Xcent Prime comes with company fitted CNG kit and is offered in two variants T & T+ along with warranty of 100,000 km/3 years whichever is earlier. The other features along with CNG kit offered in Prime variant are speed limiting function. The factory installed CNG variant offers easy registration and finance schemes along with different tax benefits offered in some of the areas.

Under the hood it is empowered with 1.2 litre four cylinder petrol engine that is capable of boosting the power of 82 bhp and mated with five speed manual gearbox transmission system. After launch in Indian car market the Hyundai Xcent Prime CNG will compete against Maruti Suzuki Dzire Tour, which at present dominates the segment. Addressing the launch of new Prime CNG, Mr. Rakesh Srivastava, Director of Sales and Marketing, HMIL said,“Superior customer experience through innovation is the hallmark of Hyundai Brand DNA. As a customer centric company we are committed to the growing commercial segment with Xcent Prime becoming the preferred option for our customers. With the addition of factory fitted CNG we are confident of meeting the request of the fleet aggregators for a vehicle in the commercial segment at a very low cost of ownership.”
With the price tag of Rs. 5.93 lakh and Rs. 6.12 lakh (ex-showroom price, New Delhi), for Xcent Prime T and Xcent Prime T+ the Hyundai Xcent is deprived version of Xcent pre facelift.
