Facelift Mahindra Thar spied on roads

Thar has been one of the  best selling vehicles by domestic car maker Mahindra and Mahindra and still despite of new emergence vehicles the Thar has its own segment of enthusiasts. It is reported that to cope the competition thrown by new vehicles the car maker is working on bringing the facelift of Thar sometimes during this year. As an impact of cosmetic changes the facelift Thar will receive a new front  bumper comprising of metal and plastic mixture. The headlamps however continue to be the same and the rear portion remains unchanged. On the other side Thar receives extended side steps and fenders. The roof now gets the new canopy and looks much better than ongoing trim of Thar.

Mechanically the vehicle is reported to continue the same engine configurations of 2.5 litre DI and 2.5 litre CRDe diesel engine boosting the power of 63 bhp and 105 bhp respectively. The engines would be mated with five speed manual gearbox and would be offered in both 4x4  and 4x4 versions. Inside the cabin vehicle is reported to receive dual tone dashboard, silver garnished round shaped HVAC vents followed by newly developed instrument cluster. The new steering wheel has been carried from sibling Bolero, apart from this other features adorned in interiors include new handbrake lever, two cup holders and many more.
