Facelift Volkswagen Polo expected to hit Indian roads in July
Earlier it was reported that German car maker Volkswagen will launch the facelift Polo in Indian car market during the month of September this year, but now it is rumored that car maker might launch the facelift Polo sometimes during the month of July, which means immediately at the time of its launch in U.K market. Prior to this company had showcased the same vehicle during the Geneva Motor Show 2014 and since then spies have witnessed the hatchback going through test drives on Indian roads several times.

It is reported that company might offer 1.5 litre diesel engine in facelift version of Polo which will generate the power of 104bhp and torque of 250 Nm, but now it is rumored that company will detune the engine so as to make it compatible according to rules determined by government. Apart from this company will also offer Polo in petrol variant which will be energized with 1.2 litre three cylinder engine churning the power of 74 bhp and torque of 110Nm. The 1.5 litre diesel engine will be developed at company’s production plant located at Chakan. After launch the facelift Polo will compete against Fiat Punto, Maruti Suzuki Swift and Hyundai i20.
Talking about the major features and cosmetic changes introduced in facelift Polo are concerned nothing much is reported to be offered because this facelift is a mid life facelift to keep the vehicle fresh among the buyers. However the front fascia has been developed with newly designed bumper and grille. Inside the cabin it receives new upholstery, new three spoke steering wheel, instrument cluster and newly developed centre console.
