FGAIL to launch lower version of Linea Classic tomorrow

Fiat Group Automobiles India Limited, the Indian division of Italian auto giant Fiat is going to launch the modified classic version of Linea tomorrow at New Delhi. It is reported that the new Linea will be low version of existing model of Linea will occupy the low place of its base variant. It is also reported that with an objective of minimizing cost of production FGIAL has mounted low powered engine in the upcoming version of Linea. It is rumored that Fiat will hardly continue the existing model of Linea Classic after the launch of facelift version which is speculated to make its debut by the end of this year. Apart from this it is also reported that apart from Linea Classic company also speculates to launch eight more products in Indian market in coming three years.

With launch of Linea Classic one thing is clear that company wants to strengthen its presence in C-segment of Indian car market. According to Mr. Nagesh Basavanhalli, President Fiat India, Fiat Linea was placed at high segment in C category of cars and therefore company decided that it should also make its presence in lower segment of C category of sedans in Indian car market.

As far as the price of C lower segment of Linea Classic is concerned it is speculated that Fiat will price it about Rs.60, 000 less than the existing Linea Classic. Moreover as it will be launched in both petrol and diesel variant it is anticipated to give tough competition to existing sedans in C segment of Indian car market like Nissan Sunny, Maruti Swift Dzire, Honda Amaze, and Scala from Renault. It is also speculated that because of impressive looks and large size it will succeed in scoring more points than its contenders.
