Fiat to export Punto and Linea

Fiat India hasn’t seen top-notch success in past couple of years. The maker had pretty slow sales in past year as well. Therefore to make up to this, the company is mulling to export its best selling models, Fiat Linea sedan and Fiat Grande Punto hatchback to United Kingdom, Australia and Japan. However, so far, the company hasn’t made anything official about it, but the announcement might just be round the corner. Fiat India has a manufacturing plant in Ranjangaon in alliance with Tata Motors. Sadly due to its slothful growth, the company fails to use up its entire capacity production power. Fiat produces only 20% of the total capacity provided to it. Consequently, to make use of its entire capacity, exporting the cars to international market seems to be the best idea so far.

Besides exporting Punto hatchback and Linea sedan to global market, the car maker is all set to bring-in the Jeep brand to India. The firm will introduce Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler into the Indian car bazaar very soon. The shipping via CBU route had already begun. So, it is expected that Jeep would take Fiat Motors image up on the graph and help it establish more than before. Also, the car maker will bring in the new model of Fiat Linea and an SUV that would compete with Renault Duster and yet to be launched Ford EcoSport.

Furthermore, the company is working very hard on its dealership network. Fiat India is aiming to touch the figure of 100 in terms of independent dealerships across India by the end of this year. Recently, the car maker opened up a new dealership in Noida Phase II, which had almost all products of Fiat on display, including Punto and Linea.
