Fiat Urban Cross Bookings Open, Launching soon in India
Italy based car maker Fiat Motors is all set to launch the crossover version of Avventura hatchback christened as Urban Cross in Indian car market by the end of this month or start of next month and for the same carmaker has also started accepting bookings for a token amount of Rs. 21,000.
Mechanically, the Urban Cross will be available in both petrol and diesel powertrains. The 1.4 liter T-Jet turbocharged four cylinder petrol engine developing power of 139 bhp and peak torque of 210 Nm. On the other hand, 1.3 liter Multi-Jet diesel engine will churn the power of 92 bhp and torque of 209 Nm. Both the engines will be mated with a five speed manual gear transmission system.
Showcased during the 2016 Indian Auto Expo, crossover features redesigned front grille, LED optical guide taillights, silver garnished roof rails and 17 inch alloy wheels. Apart from this Urban Cross will feature newly introduce 5-inch touch-screen infotainment system and dual-tone dashboard inside the cabin. Physically Fiat Urban Cross will have the length of 4,000 mm, width of 1,700 mm and height of 1,500 mm with a ground clearance of 205 mm.
Once launch in the Indian market, Urban Cross crossover will compete against the likes of Maruti Suzuki S-Cross and Hyundai Elite i20 Active.
