Ford Fiesta Classic to come with top end ‘Titanium’ version

Heard about Ford Figo Titanium, all-new Ford Fiesta Titanium and also upcoming Ford EcoSport Titanium, but never noted the absence of this variant from Ford Fiesta Classic sedan lineup. Here it comes. Ford Motors will now launch the top end Titanium trim for their best selling sedan, sidelining the existing high end SXI trim. The new addition will be sporting more than 10 new exciting features that were never seen before in this simple yet performance oriented sedan. The best part about this to-be-launched variant is that it might be tagged at a price that is less by around Rs 50,000 against current top model SXI.

The long list of features includes beige-n-black dual tone inside, speed sensing volume control for audio player, while there is warning lights at instrument panel at the time of panic braking. Moreover, the entertainment focused inclusion is the incorporation of Bluetooth and i-pod connectivity in the audio system. Some enticing exterior aspects consist of extensive usage of chrome at front grille, rear tail-gate handle and at the ORVMs that are now mounted with side indicators. The Ford Fiesta Classic sedan also gets chromed body side mouldings accompanied by newly designed alloy wheel and programmable smart key.

Most of the features are stolen from the existing top end Titanium of Ford Figo hatchback and as a result there are reports that the upcoming Classic Titanium will be priced below SXI version due to loads of components sharing. As of now, Ford Fiesta Classic is presented with two engine options to choose from, the 1.6L Duratec petrol that gives out max power of 101 PS and top torque of 146 Nm. The other is 1.4L TDCi diesel motor that churns out 68 PS and 160 Nm of max power and peak torque respectively. Both the frugal power trains are mated to an advanced 5-speed manual transmission.
