Ford Figo 2015 Introduced with Price Tag of Rs. 4.30 Lakh
Finally the wait for generation next Ford Figo came to an end today with its launch at starting price of Rs. 4.29 lakh (ex-showroom) for petrol version followed by Rs. 5.3 lakh (ex-showroom) for diesel trim. In its second inning Figo will compete against Tata Bolt, Grand i10 from Hyundai and Maruti Suzuki Swift. Referred as “Clever Choice for Indian Customers” by Mr. Anurag Mehrotra, Executive Director, Ford India, the new Figo has been developed on the platform used in its sedan version Aspire and therefore it is also considered as bootless Aspire.
The worth mentioning feature about generation next Figo is that it not only carries the components like Aspire but it has also replaced the engine configurations that were offered in its erstwhile version. The new Ford Figo is enriched with two engine options of 1.2 litre TiVCT 4 cylinder engine and 1.5 litre TiVCT six speed dual clutch motor followed 1.5 litre TDCi diesel engine.. The new Figo is available in overall six trims including Base, Ambiente, Trend, Titanium, Trend+ and Titanium+.
Talking about the features adhered in new Figo, as mentioned above it carries most of its components as offered in Aspire and therefore you will witness integration of applications like Ford MyKey, Ford SYNC infotainment system and My Dock also in hatchback Figo. Moving towards the safety features that are offered in new Figo include dual front airbags as standard feature. The top end variant Titanium+ is blessed with side and curtain airbags also thus making the overall number of airbags to six. According to Mr. Anurag Mehrotra Ford Figo is the only hatchback in Indian car market which has been embellished six airbags.
