Ford Figo 2015 launching today

Ford India, the Indian alliance of U.S car maker Ford is going to launch its highly awaited hatchback, generation next Figo in Indian car market. Prior to this car maker had launched the sedan version of the same named as Figo Aspire in Indian car market on August 12, 2015 and according to reports the generation next Figo will carry most of its features borrowed from it. It would be important to mention that Figo has been one of the bestselling cars by Ford and moreover going through the overwhelming response from customers towards Aspire, this time Indian car enthusiasts have high expectations from the new version of this hatchback.

As far as features are concerned most of the features including engine specifications are already leaked on different platforms. According to reports it would be offered in both petrol and diesel variants with two engine options of 1.2 litre TiVCT and 1.5 litre TiVCT in petrol trim followed by 1.5 litre TDCi in diesel engine. The power and torque developed by these engine configurations would be 88 PS, 112PS, and 100 PS respectively along with torque of 112Nm, 136 Nm and 215 Nm accordingly. The engines with 1.2 litre TiVCT and 1.5 litre TDCi would be mated with five speed manual gear transmission system whereas engine with 1.5 litre TiVCT would be offered with six speed dual clutch powershift automatic transmission system.

Moving towards the features offered on exteriors and interiors it is reported to carry most of the features from Aspire sedan except the enlarged bootlid opener, being a hatchback it will not carry enhanced bootlid opener. The front fascia will carry features like Aston Martin grille. Inside the cabin you will find features like Ford MyKey, Ford SYNC infotainment system, My Dock, and front airbags as standard features. The top end trim Titanium+ will carry features like side and curtain airbags thus, making total number of airbags to six.
