Ford Figo facelift launched in Sri Lanka
Ford has rolled out the face-lifted Ford Figo in Sri Lanka recently. The car was launched along with another model from the company called Ford Ranger, which is a pickup truck that is also expected to hit the Indian shores. However, talking about the new Figo, it had been a bit delayed for Sri Lankan car market. The hatchback is imported from India; therefore, the price tag is a bit high as compared to India. Besides the launch of these, Ford Motors has also confirmed the launch of other Ford vehicles as well including Ford EcoSport, Fort Kuga and Ford Mondeo. To make the Sri Lankan unit of Ford much stronger and better, the official distributor and importer of Ford on the island has made it official that it will be doing a hefty investment of Rs. 17 crore (around 400 million Sri Lankan Rupees) to establish a completely updated facility there.

On the other hand, the Ford EcoSport launch date hasn’t been confirmed right now by the firm. But supposedly, the SUV will be exported to Sri Lanka as well and this will be possible only when it is launched in India. The Indian launch of Ford EcoSport Crossover SUV is expected to happen in next couple of week. The car will come blessed with a frugal and dynamic 1.0-Litre EcoBoost petrol engine. The five-speed manual transmission will be coupled with the engine.
The most attractive thing about EcoSport is said to be the alluring and very sporty exteriors, which would give a tough fight to Renault Duster. The pricing details for the same haven’t been confirmed, but according to our reliable sources, Ford EcoSport’s starting price would be around Rs. 9 lakh. Hopefully, the confirmation about the launch is made official as soon as possible.
