Ford Focus with 1 L EcoBoost engine goes on sale in Europe
Ford Focus that now debuts the soon becoming Ford’s iconic 1L Ecoboost engine is now available at the dealerships in Europe. However, India still awaits the Ford Focus launch in the country. The new Ford car is expected to be launched in India in the mid of this year and should be in the price range of Rs 10 lakh to Rs 11 lakh. The new 2012 Ford Focus sports the same 1L Ecoboost engine that is expected to power the Ford’s new SUV for India - Ford Ecosport. The new variant with 1.L EcoBoost is an addition to the Ford Focus trims which include 1.6L petrol EcoBoost and 1.6L diesel ECOnetic model.

The Ford Focus sedan produced at the Saarlouis plant in Germany is now available for bookings. The Europe version is offered in two variants. One with 100 PS power and other with a peak power of 125PS. Both the cars are powerful yet frugal and offer a mileage of 20.5 kmpl and 20 kmpl respectively. Ford expects that the frugal yet performing engine will woo the car buyers besides the new looks and features of the car. Apart from this, the new Ford Focus also is low on emissions with the new injection and turbocharging in place that ensures that the engine does not pollute the environment and also utilized every drop of fuel to its best.

The 1 L EcoBoost engine powered Ford Focus delivers higher torque at low rpms that means performance at few engine rotations and thus higher performance, less fuel consumption and longer engine life. The Ford Focus will be available in C-MAX and B-Max models in Europe and more models are also expected with more features and gadgets insides this year. India is also expecting a near launch of the new Ford Focus, perhaps after the Geneva Motor Show. In addition to it, Ford is strengthening its base in India with the expansion of dealerships in the country.
