Generation next Honda City landing on January 7, 2014
Honda Cars India, the Indian division of Japanese car maker Honda Motors is all set of launch its highly awaited sedan new Honda City in Indian car market on January 7, 2014. As reported earlier company had already unveiled the generation Honda City couple of months ago. Although company has started booking the order for new Honda City but it has not yet revealed any information regarding price, variants and various other features that will be adorned in New Honda City.
An interesting feature about upcoming Honda City is that it will be for the first time that Honda Cars India will launch the diesel variant of generation next Honda City in Indian car market. As far as the question of engine configuration is concerned it is reported that the petrol variant will continue the same existing 1.5 litre i-VTEC engine developing the power of 117 bhp and will be offered with two options of transmission i.e., manual and automatic. The diesel variant will carry the same 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine which is offered in Honda Amaze launched this year in April. This engine will generate the power of 98 bhp and will be coated with five speed manual transmission system.
It is reported that after launch the diesel Honda City will be one of the most fuel efficient cars available in country delivering an average of 26 kmpl. On the other side the petrol version with manual transmission system will deliver an average of 17.8 kmp whereas an automatic version will deliver an average of 17.9 kmpl. Talking about the new looks of Honda City it can be said that the generation next City is more aggressive and dynamic than the existing version. The new Honda City is equipped with newly designed bootlid followed new tail lamps and chrome highlight, spacious interiors, touchscreen infotainment system, automatic climate control, push button start, keyless entry, reverse camera etc. To know more about new Honda City stay tuned with carkhabri.
