Generation next Honda City landing tomorrow

Finally the date is about to arrive when Honda Cars India, the Indian division of Japanese auto giant will release it’s highly awaited generation next sedan Honda City in Indian car market tomorrow on January 7, 2014 for sale. It would be interested to know that since it’s unveil on November 25, 2013, the new Honda City had received an overwhelming response from Indian customers. As far as price and introduction of new models in line up are concerned these will be revealed by company at the time of Honda City’s launch.
 
 
The main reason behind the huge craze of customers towards new Honda City is due to introduction of diesel variant, which will be introduced for the first time in Honda City. According to sources the diesel variant will be equipped with 1.5 litre i-DTEC engine developing the power of 98 bhp. This diesel engine is same as introduced in diesel variant of Honda Amaze launched in 2013. This variant will be coated with six-speed manual transmission system. On the other side petrol variant will be equipped with same 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engine churning the power of 117 bhp. The same engine exists in current petrol variant of Honda City. The petrol line-up of City will be covered with five speed manual transmission system and also in automatic transmission system.

According to sources the diesel variant will be one of the most fuel efficient cars prevailing in Indian car market at present. It is endorsed to deliver an average of 26 kmpl, similarly the petrol variant covered with five speed manual transmission system will deliver an average of 18 kmpl and model equipped with automatic transmission system will deliver an average of 19 kmpl.
