Grand Edition of C-Class from Mercedes Benz
As reported couple of days back German luxurious car maker Mercedes Benz is going to launch its 50,000th car in Indian car market after its entrance in India. And finally today it released 50,000th car from its production plant located in Chakan at Pune. The 50,000th car was Mercedes Benz C-Class and to mark this landmark this unit has been launched as C-Class Grand Edition. It is launched in both petrol and diesel disguises. The petrol variant is offered with price tag of Rs. 36.81 lakh, whereas diesel variant is offered with price tag of Rs.39.16 lakh (ex-showroom price in Pune).

The C-Class Grand Edition is blessed with same features as offered in C-Class Edition, launched in November 2013. It has been developed on AMG platform and supported with chrome tailpipe followed by Grand Edition Badge on the centre. Apart from other additional features the edition has been bestowed with panoramic sunroof. It would be interested to know that the Grand Edition was released with full honor and it was brought on platform on conveyor belt, where company’s MD. Mr. Eberhard Kern mounted company’s three starred badge on the bonnet of the new car. Company expects that during this Year of Excellence (as called by company) this edition will repeat the same success as enjoyed by C-Class.
Mercedes Benz made its debut in Indian car market back in 1995 and started assembling the parts of its saloon sedans including C-Class, E-Class, S-Class, ML-Class, GL-Class. It started its production plant at Chakan in Pune in 2009 and since then it has so far manufactured 25,000 cars.
