Honda City 2014 launched in Malaysia
After successfully launching its highly acclaimed sedan Honda City in Indian and Thailand car market, Japanese car maker has launched the vehicle in Malaysian car market with starting price of RM 75,800 (Rs. 14.05 lakh) for the base S variant while the closing price of RM90,800 (Rs. 16.84 lakh) for top V variant. The sedan in Malaysia has been launched only in petrol disguise which 1.5-litre i-VTEC petrol engine churning the power of 116 bhp and torque of 146 Nm. The power to fornt wheels is transmitted through five speed automatic CVT gearbox. There are four variants launched in petrol version namely S, S+, E and V.
The new Honda City in Malaysian car market is embellished with newly designed bumpers at front and rear followed by long wheelbase as an impact of which the sedan receives spacious interiors. Apart from this it also impinges impressive features like push button start, climate control, new leather upholstery, rear air conditioner vents for rear passengers, reverse parking camera, ABS+EBD, electrically adjustable ORVMs, dual airbags and few more.
Talking about the specific features offered in different variants of Honda City, the V variant is the top variant which is blessed with all standard features which are offered in every sedan available in B segment. The major features offered in this variant are touchscreen head unit followed by seven inch screen and eight speaker, touch screen auto air con, rear air con vents, leather steering with mounted controls, keyless entry, push start and many more. The E variant carries some of the features offered in top end V variant including vehicle stability control, and hill start assist system. The S is the entry level model and carries only standard features.
