Honda City launched in Vietnam, receives 220 bookings
Honda Vietnam, a subsidiary of Honda Motor Co. Ltd. Japan, has also launched the global sedan car model Honda City in domestic market. After just launch the popular sedan has also received around 200 orders. In that market, the new beast has been offered with manual and automatic transmission system options. In Vietnam it is being supplied through Honda Automobile Dealers system across the country.

For that market the City sedan is being assembled in Vietnam with components imported from Thailand, Japan and some other countries in the ASEAN region. Honda City MT is priced at VND540 million while the AT version has been offered at VND580 million. After receiving 220 orders for the vehicle Honda Vietnam targeted a goal of selling more than 1,000 units this year.
On the other hand, Nissan has also recently launched its Sunny in that market. Honda City is one of best selling mid-size sedan model in Indian auto market. It is being offered in petrol model with both manual and automatic transmission system choices. Very soon, a diesel model of the sedan is expected to be launched that will have Honda's most popular EarthDream technology based 1.5L diesel motor under the hood. At present, the first diesel sedan car, Amaze is doing very well.
