Honda City: Records the waiting period of more than six months
Last one year has been one of the successful years for the Japanese auto giant Honda Motors as during last one year the car maker has dramatically strengthened its weakening roots in Indian market. With three successive successful launches Honda Amaze, new Honda City last year and now Honda Mobilio MPV just a day before, the Japanese car maker is flying on the seventh sky of success. Now the car maker has one more reason to celebrate the huge success of these vehicles. It is reported that the luxurious sedan City has crossed the waiting period exceeding six to eight months. According to sales figures of last month company sold out 7700 units of sedan which was higher than its contenders in segment. Interestingly the owners of first generation Honda City are also said to be upgrading their sedan with new City.

Launched in both petrol and diesel variants of 1.5 litre i-VTEC petrol engine and 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine, it would be interested that even the top end variant of Honda City which is priced above Rs. 11 lakh is recording high demand in Indian car market. As an impact of increasing sales during last one year the car maker has grabbed the third position in Indian car market, replacing the domestic car making company Mahindra and Mahindra. The initiative of these enhanced sales mainly goes to introduction of 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine in Honda Amaze launched last year, playing an incredible role in changing the fortunes of the company.
The major features apart from integrating 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine in new Honda City are driver airbag, ABS+EBD as standard features. Apart from this fleet of other features include rear parking camera, 5 inch touchscreen infotainment system supporting connectivity with USB, AUX and Bluetooth, pinch guard, smart key, cruise control, push button start , sunroof and various others.
