Honda City Touches The Magical Number of 7 Lakh Units Sold
Honda City the luxurious sedan from Japanese car maker Honda Motors has touched the milestone of selling 7 lakh units of this luxurious sedan in Indian car market since its first generation was launched back in 1998. According to the sales statistics revealed by the car maker it earns about 25 percent of its sales from Indian car market throughout the world.

This year company had launched the facelift version of Honda City in the Indian car market with contemporary cosmetic updates including seven inch touchscereen infotainment system, fog lamps, LED DRLs, automatic LED headlamps and LED inserts for the tail lamps. Commenting on the milestone achieved by the Honda City, Mr. Yoichiro Ueno, Honda Cars India Limited, President said, "Honda City is our bestseller model in India and the only premium sedan to achieve cumulative sales of 7 lakh units in the country," He also added that the main reason behind the successful journey of four generations has been the changing attitude adopted by the makers according to the expectations of the then generations for making the Honda City according to their requirements.

It would be interested to know that from the period between 1998 to 2003 company sold out 59,378 units, from 2003 to 2008 it sold out 1,77,742 units, from 2008 to 2013 it sold out 1,92, 939 units and from 2014 onwards till date it has sold out about 2,69, 941 units of Honda City in Indian car market.
