Honda Brio and other Honda cars coming with makeover

It will be a facelift season for Honda in some time, it seems. Honda is coming up with the facelift versions of its small cars including Honda Brio and Honda Jazz as well as its sedans – Honda Civic and Honda Accord. Leaving only the Honda CRV and the flagship Honda City, Honda seems to be in a mood to rephrase its saga in the coming months. All these facelift models will have lots of features and styling changes added to them so that they compete well with the others in their respective segments. Notably, Honda also mulls over diesel models of its cars and it would be a surprise if Honda launches the diesel model of any of these Honda cars in India.

Among the Honda sedans that are going to receive the facelift are – Honda Civic and Honda Accord. Notably these are premium sedans and it is quite necessary for Honda to give facelift to Honda Accord as a close rival Hyundai Sonata has already started making things worse for almost all the premium sedans in India in the price range of Rs 24 lakh to Rs 27 lakh. The facelift of Civic is expected to be the new generation Civic that Honda is already selling in Europe and other markets and it will have steering mounted audio control besides a lot of exterior and interior changes. The Accord on the other hand will have the ninth generation in India early next year.

The small car Honda Brio and not so small car Honda Jazz will also receive makeover en route their career in India. The Brio petrol was also recently caught testing in Gurgaon and it was later revealed that Honda has made some changes to the engine that the small car could return 20 kmpl on petrol. The Jazz on the other hand will have its hybrid version in the offing. As per initial information, the Jazz Hybrid will have a mileage of over 24 kmpl and will come equipped with automatic transmission and Honda’s IMA Assist electric system. Expect new Jazz to come in early next year.
