Honda Jazz Hybrid launched, misses out on few features
Honda Motors is back in action! The car maker has brought in Honda Jazz Hybrid in Malaysia today. This is actually the first ever hybrid that will be assembled in Malaysia, which is accompanied by a price tag of around RM89, 900. However, this CKD Honda Jazz Hybrid has missed out on few features, such as cruise control, hill start assist, and one touch lane change, audio controls on steering wheel, automatic wipers and shift paddles. But, the interesting things that you would notice in this CKD hybrid are multi-functional display control buttons are positioned cleverly and the single stalk is taken to the right steering wheel.
Honda Motors hasn’t compromised on the safety traits and endowed Honda Jazz Hybrid with drum brakes for the rear along with dual front airbags. As compared to the CBU, this CKD hybrid is way different than it. The overall weight of the car is about 7kgs less than the CBU car. Technically as well, this one is inspiring. The CKD Honda Jazz Hybrid comes with 1.3 litre i-VTEC diesel engine that produces about 14PS more power (88PS) and 78Nm more torque (121Nm). However, the gearbox is the same as the CBU car.
Besides these, there are few features, which were taken from the CBU unit and would be seen in CKD Honda Jazz Hybrid. These comprise of Anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution system, brake assist, vehicle stability assist, four-corner reverse sensor and flexible ultra seats.
On the inside, the boot space is one thing that you would totally enjoy. In CKD Honda Jazz Hybrid, the car will have 831litres of boot space, which would be increased to 1321 after folding-up the rear seats.
