Honda Jazz meets the expectations of Japanese car maker

It seems that an idea of bringing the refreshed version of Honda Jazz hatchback by Japanese car maker was a fruitful idea that truly hit its target of making the hatchback a huge success among the Indian car enthusiasts. According to reports within the launch of a month car maker has recorded sale of 9000 units of hatchback across the country. Launched on July 8, 2015 the major attraction of Jazz was introduction of diesel engine for first time in hatchback.

As reported earlier the hatchback was launched in both petrol and diesel variants with petrol engine empowered with 1.2 litre i-VTEC engine which already powers compact Amaze and Brio hatchback. This engine is capable of churning 90 bhp and torque of 110 Nm. Moving ahead towards diesel variant it is enriched with 1.5 litre i-DTEC diesel engine that boosts the power of 100 PS and torque of 200 Nm. The petrol variant is offered with five speed manual and CVT transmission system with paddle shifters, while the diesel variant is coated with six speed manual transmission system.

Excited from an encouraging response from Indian car enthusiasts towards new Honda Jazz, Mr. Jnaneswar Sen, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Sales, HCIL said, the company is overwhelmed from the response its new initiative has received from car buyers in India. According to Mr. Sen the new Jazz has succeeded in exploring the segment of premium hatchback in India and its speculated that in coming months volume of its sale will enhance and company will enjoy expected success from hatchback this year.
