Honda Jazz production raised to 1000 units; concern for Maruti Suzuki India
A breathe of ease is seemed for Honda with sales of its hatchback Jazz accelerating these days. Some time back the situation was not the same, as the car was not able to cope with its challengers, reason was its a bit high pricing which was reduced recently. The slash in price by the Japan based firm was sufficient to grab the attention of those car buyers who would have decided on a Hyundai i20 or a Maruti Suzuki Swift. The move which hit the bull’s eye was in fact to clear the remaining stock, as Honda was about to launch its new Jazz with a make-over. Let it may be any reasons for the price drop, but the consumer who was about to taste the No.1 or No.2 passenger car maker has now tasted a nearly premium class vehicle, which will be a delight factor for him.

Japan based Honda Motors in India is in joint venture with Siel Limited and together are known as Honda Siel Cars India (HSCI). At present the new Honda Jazz is launched and the company has declared that they will increase the manufacturing of Jazz to 1000 cars per month till November 2011. This new Jazz is available with a very tempting price tag and has resulted in moving the booking meter up. As the demand is picking up for the hatchback now the company should assure adequate supply to its customers. One deficit that the hatchback comes across is the missing diesel engine.
The healthy hatchback comes powered by a 1.2L i-VTEC petrol engine that yields out a promising 90 PS of topmost power. The car is quite responsive thanks to Drive-By-Wire system. Also, the Japanese auto major has launched its new compact car Brio in the country which is aggressively priced and will surely be responded with flying colors.

Maruti Suzuki; the key player in this battle ground seems on the back-foot with its impasse going on with its labors at production unit where its production is getting hampered rapidly. Meanwhile the announcement of HSCI to increase its production has worsened the situation for Maruti.
As Honda currently not offering a diesel choice and one is not also interested in buying the Hyundai i20, at this point Ford Figo guarantees to be a good option. With Ford Figo, the Ford Motors in India have stood-high again.
To sum up if you are interested in a large hatchback with a touch of premium class for your people then Honda Jazz sounds good choice, other than that if looking for a diesel hatch Ford Figo ends up as an ultimate choice.

Honda Jazz is very spacious. It is having powerful engine. It retains its 1.2 L i-VTEC engine which offers a peak power of 90 bhp which might not sound too huge as the figure but the car gives a good pick up and plenty of refinement. Honda Jazz is good in performance.
