Honda Motors Teases Fifth Generation of Indian Bound Honda City
Japanese carmaker Honda Motors has teased an introductory image of the fifth generation of Honda City in China. The company is readying to launch the same version of Honda City soon in the Indian car market also. According to the image released by the company in China, the Indian version will be similar to the image. In its fifth-generation, the Honda City looks much bolder, dynamic and attractive than its existing version and carries most of its cues from Civic and Accord.
To begin with the engine specification, the Honda City that is teased in the Chinese market will be equipped with a 1.0-liter turbocharged engine that will boost the power of 120 bhp and the torque of 173 Nm. Whether the same engine will be introduced in the Indian car market or not is yet to be revealed by the company. According to experts the Indian version will be empowered with i-MMD mild-hybrid motor mated with a 1.5-liter i-VTEC petrol engine and deliver an average of 23.8 kmpl.

Inside, the cabin the Honda 2020 will receive a plethora of upgraded features consisting of new dashboard design covered with soft-touch upholstery, large infotainment system in the middle, new steering wheel followed by tweaked mounted control switches for audio system, the climate control system has been equipped with touch-sensitive system and has been placed below the infotainment system. In short, the interior receives an overall new layout.
On the exterior front, the angular design is quite eye-catching like its predecessors. The front fascia receives the chrome bar with jewel eyed LED headlamps followed by the three-slated bumper. The bonnet looks more aggressive and sports sharp character line that merges the headlamps and the wraparound taillights, thus moving across the full-length of the sedan. The LED taillights receive new design language along with the U-shaped signature light. Dimensionally, the new Honda City is 100 mm longer and 53mm wider than its existing version. The height has been also minimized to 28mm, thus giving it sportier looks. In short, the Honda City 2020 continues its legacy of retaining mind-blowing looks in a redefined way.
