Hyundai i40 bags the Best Station Wagon title in UK

It has been only two months since Hyundai has introduced the Hyundai i40 Station in New Zealand and this week it has bagged the title of Best Station Wagon in the Business Car Manager’s annual awards, held in UK. Leaving behind prominent rivals like the Volvo V50, the Ford Mondeo Wagon and the Skoda Octavia Estate, the i40 Wagon has been the charming one to get entitled as the best Wagon.

Hyundai Motor UK, President & CEO, Tony Whitehorn stated that it is the company’s privilege to get the the Best Station Wagon award and it also shows how entrusted the i40 is amongst the enthusiasts. He also added that low BIK tax rates, magnificent in-lines, upscale comforts and perfect drivability makes the i40 a perfect station wagon.

The Business Car Manager Editor, Ralph Morton commented on the occasion that they have brought together the best of their levels. He further added that the Korean car maker, Hyundai’s consistent growth in the United Kingdom has witnessed many phenomenal product launches for the business profile enthusiasts and the i40 has been the most impressive products that deserves to be entitled with this award.

Since launch on the UK shores in September 2011, i40 Wagon has got three awards including the Business Car Manager Best Station Wagon title. Prior to this, the i40 Station Wagon has been entitled with ‘the Best Estate Car’ in 2011 at the Scottish Car of the Year Awards and another Golden Award at the Euro CarBody Conference in 2011.

Recently in January, the i40 Wagon has been launched in the New Zealand sub-continent that is available in 1.7 liter UII calibrating diesel in-line and another 2.0 liter GDi petrol power train option. Andy Sinclair, General Manager, Hyundai New Zealand stated that the alluring i40 Wagon showcased the uniqueness of Hyundai in the New Zealand auto-region. He also added that since launch, sales of this Wagon have been exemplary.
